I loved words. I love to sing them and speak them and even now, I must admit, I have fallen into the joy of writing them. Anne Rice
I am Roshni Menon. Mother of 3 beautiful babies, and an ENT Surgeon in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
While not operating, doing clinics, writing scientific papers or being mummy, I spend my time dreaming….story- weaving in my mind! It’s not many minutes in a day when I can do it but it’s become far more often as TGD has progressed.
It is certainly a very relaxing endeavour and considering my A type personality, an infinitely worthy one. The learning curve has been steep but well, bring it on!
I have an extremely supportive husband who despite his belief that my scientific mind is stronger than my creative one, has had to admit in recent days that I do have some creative talents. Being my rock, he has not only provided grounding but also suggested many amazing ideas!
We have a library of close to 350 children’s books at home. We have authors from all over the world on our bookshelves. However, very few of them are written by Malaysians. I believed it was possible to come up with a trully cosmopolitan book that was sophisticated enough for the world market. This was part of the inspiration to come up with TGD. That’s why it is an all Malaysian book (author, artists, editor, graphic designer, printer, publisher)
