I loved words. I love to sing them and speak them and even now, I must admit, I have fallen into the joy of writing them. Anne Rice

Publishing: How we came to SmallPrint!

Lazy Sunday Times

In a moment inspired by the name SmallPrint, one which was conceived and kindly donated to us by Daphne Lee, we decided to set up our own indie publishing company, focusing on but not limited to children’s books.

The whole philosophy behind SmallPrint, is that, one book is all it takes to set a child on a joyful journey of reading for life…the aesthetics of what we learn to appreciate from a young age, influence us forever so, we aim to bring Art, the best available in Malaysia and elsewhere, to our young readers.

Of course, I am hoping that Three Green Dreams will be “that book” for many children…

We are still in the process of setting up our website, e-mail addresses etc but it will be done and with TGD going to press, SmallPrint shall take off.

As the publishing market in Malaysia is still young, the opportunities are amazing and we are happy to be joining our colleagues in the race to make Malaysian books globally recognised as quality products! Quite unlike in Europe and America where the big publishing houses are where everyone aims to be published, Indie publishers like SmallPrint stand a chance to make a real difference here!

Wish us luck.
